PAPER LACE - THE NIGHT CHICAGO DIED

LETRA

In the heat of a summer night
In the land of the dollar bill
When the town of Chicago died
And they talk about it still

When a man named Al Capone
Tried to make that town his own
And he called his gang to war
With the forces of the law

I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be

I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed

And the sound of the battle rang
Through the streets of the old east side
'Til the last of the hoodlum gang
Had surrendered up or died

There was shouting in the street
And the sound of running feet
And I asked someone who said
Bout a hundred cops are dead

I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!

I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed

And ther was no sound at all
But the clock upon the wall
Then the door burst open wide
And my daddy stepped inside
And he kissed my mama's face
And he brushed her tears away

The night Chicago died
The night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed

The night Chicago died
The night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be

The night Chicago died
The night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed

BANDA TORO - LA NOCHE EN QUE CHICAGO MURIÓ:

LETRA:

na noche de verano
en tierra del dólar fue
donde todo Chicago murió
déjenme explicarles que.

Un tal señor Al Capone
de la ciudad se adueño
a su pandilla llamo
por la fuerza ese señor.

Mi madre oí llorar
la noche que Chicago se murió
hermano que noche mando dios
hermano que guerra tan atroz
gloria y paz.

Mi madre oí llorar
la noche que Chicago se murió
hermano que noche mando dios
esa guerra todo el mundo vio
yo la vi.

El solar de las calles fue
por el sur de la gran ciudad
una guerra sin cuartel
hasta que todo acabo.

Escuche alguien que grito
y vio la gente correr
en la calle se murieron
policías mas de cien.

Mi madre oí llorar
la noche que Chicago se murió
hermano que noche mando dios
hermano que guerra tan atroz
gloria y paz.

Mi madre oí llorar
la noche que Chicago se murió
hermano que noche mando dios
esa guerra todo el mundo vio
yo la vi.

Y después nada sonó
solo el reloj se escucho
pues que la puerta se abrió
y mi padre apareció
a mi madre la beso
y sus lagrimas seco.

Mi madre oí llorar
Chicago se murió
hermano que noche mando dios
hermano que guerra tan atroz
gloria y paz.

Mi madre oí llorar
Chicago se murió
hermano que noche mando dios
esa guerra todo el mundo vio
yo la vi.

Kung-fu fighting

KUNG-FU FIGHTING:

Hoy tengo el gusto de presentaros esta popular canción que sale en un anuncio de la televisión.

CARL DOUGLAS - EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING

LETRA:

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

They were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

There was funky Billy Chin and little Sammy Chung
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a bow and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand knew trip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing

(repeat)..make sure you have expert timing
Kung-fu fighting, had to be fast as lightning

Clocks

CLOCKS

Cierta persona ha querido publicar esta preciosa canción de Coldplay en el blog pero no ha querida dar su nombre, por que asegura que "tú lo sabes". ¿Quién será? Creo que me lo puedo imaginar... Allá va tu canción:

COLDPLAY CLOCKS

LETRA:

Lights go out and I can’t be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against,
You’ve put me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg, and plead, singing.

Come out of things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head
And a trouble that can’t be named
And tigers waiting to be tamed, singing

You are
You are

Confusion that never stops
Closing walls and ticking clocks,
gonna, Come back and take you home
I could not stop that you now know, singing.

Come out upon my seas
the Cursed missed opportunities
Am I a part of the cure?
Or am I part of the disease, singing

You are
You are
You are
You are

And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares

You are
You are

[home,]
Home, where I wanted to go, [home]
Home, where I wanted to go, [home]
Home, (you…)where I wanted to go, [home] (…are)
Home, (you…)where I wanted to go, (…are)
